About Dr. Renae Haldeman, OMD
Acupuncture · Oriental Medicine · Herbal Medicine · Homeopathy
Dr. Renae Haldeman helps patients find and treat the root cause of what’s holding them back, not just the symptoms. She believes that when one person heals, the whole family feels it.
Renae first studied marriage and family relationships and planned to become a family therapist. Along the way she found that acupuncture, herbs and homeopathy let her help people heal both emotionally and physically. She earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Wongu University of Oriental Medicine in Las Vegas. She is board certified by the national certification board (NCCAOM) and licensed by the Nevada State Board of Oriental Medicine.
Her treatments include acupuncture, tuina massage, gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, herbal medicine and homeopathy. She has special training in the Sa’am Korean four-needle technique, which treats emotional and physical concerns together. One of her most meaningful moments came with a retired police officer living with severe PTSD. The day after his first treatment, he told her, “I was able to have the best night’s sleep I’ve had in five years.”
Renae follows the old Chinese saying “Seven parts nurture, three parts treatment.” Lasting results come from pairing treatment with healthy habits in nutrition, lifestyle and mindfulness. She sees herself as a partner in each patient’s healing, giving them the tools and support to take charge of their own health.
A Las Vegas native, Renae and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters and three sons, and grandparents to two amazing grandchildren.
